SWEET ‘TATER PIE WITH PECANS & BOURBON With this pie, the South will surely rise again!

This is as very rich pie with a strong bourbon flavor.
This is a perfect alternative to the traditional pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving.

SWEET ‘TATER PIE WITH PECANS AND BOURBON
✹INGREDIENTS: 8 slices
•2 cups yams, mashed
•3 eggs
•4 tablespoons margarine
•1 cup sugar
•1 teaspoon vanilla
•1 teaspoon nutmeg
•1 tablespoon lemon juice
•½ cup bourbon
•A cup or two of pecan halves, to put inside the pie, or just cover the top. (Your choice)
•⅓ cup brown sugar to sprinkle over the top of the pecan halves before baking.
DIRECTIONS:
1. Mix together all ingredients thoroughly. Pour into 9-inch unbaked pie crust and bake at 325ºF for 45 minutes.
2. This has a strong bourbon taste. You might want to use only half the bourbon called for with another liquid to make up the remaining liquid needed.
